"The Talk"

Where: Living Room on the couch.
When:Saturday afternoon.
How: In a straight foward and open conversation.

It was a Saturday afternoon and Ashley was so excited to attend her first junior high house party, but before she could go her parents wanted to talk to her about "it." Yes "it" the big IT, the sex talk. Ashley knew this day would come, but she hated the fact that it had to be today. Ashley's parents have always been very open with her so she kind of knew what to expect from her parents.
As they all sat on the couch her dad jumped right into with his three main points. 1. No babies. 2. No babies. 3. No babies end of story. Ashley and her mother couldn't help but to laugh at her father's bluntness. On a more serious note Ashley's mother laid everything out on the table for her. She told her about sex and how it isn't just something that you do recreationally. Its something that a man and a woman share when they love each other and that she should wait, but if she couldn't her mother asked that she come to her first.  As Ashley took in all the words she spoke Ashley's mother pulled out a bag full of condoms, birth control pamphlets, and several other forms of contraceptive. As they continued their conversation Ashley actually felt at ease. She loved her parents and the relationship they had. Not only did they have love, but they also hsd trust and that's what she cherished most.
